Stav Davidson

Stav was born in Glasgow  Scotland, and moved to Australia just early enough in his life to avoid permanently speaking with a Scottish accent. 

He was three weeks old.

Australia was a magical place for young Stav, and he was better qualified than most to comment – he lived in 3 different states and in 15 separate addresses by the time he was 10.  As is often the case when one faces constant change as a child, Stav became ‘a watcher’ and ‘an observer’; although mostly of television as he will freely admit.

A chance meeting with a man with a gold tooth led him into a Comedy Club in Brisbane in 1999.   He was seeking a beer and a laugh; he discovered both his life purpose and his life partner, and an amazing journey began… 

Stav made the national finals of Triple J’s ‘Raw Comedy Competition’ in 2000, and might have won if not for a nasty incident backstage with a fire hose that put him ever so slightly off his game.  He made up for it in 2002, winning the ‘Bacardi Breezer New Comic of the Year’ competition, and appearing on The Comedy Channel’s “Hahn Ice Headliners”.

In January 2006 Stav joined Brisbane’s B105 as part of their new Breakfast show “Gabby Mike and Stav, With Ben’. Those other losers are long gone now, but Stav’s still there, and he also maintains a busy schedule of live shows, performing at all Queensland comedy venues.

Dumbest thing you ever did: glued two of my fingers together; cut a patch of my eyebrow off;  ate an entire pack of Listerine and shat myself; gave a stranger $300 cause he told me he knew my boss; the list goes on and on……….
