After starting his comedy career in 2000, Mark Werner has gone from strength to strength. In his first year of stand-up Mark was runner up in the state final of JJJ’s “Raw” Comedy Competition. During the following 2 years he represented QLD in the national finals of the hotly contested “Green Faces” in Canberra. Whilst being a Gold Coast born performer, Mark has taken his comedy to the masses all over the country.

In 2004 he spread his comedic wings and toured the U.K, culminating in some stellar performances at the London Comedy Festival. During his stay in London, Mark performed at The Comedy Store, Jongleurs & other iconic venues. Whilst touring the U.K he worked with the likes of Adam Hills, Mickey D, Ross Noble & others. After a successful year of comedy abroad, world travel beckoned & Mark turned off the mic. After a 2yr hiatus & a deportation back down under, Mark re-took the stage in a blaze of glory. Since his return to comedy he has ramped up his laid back style & added a new energy flavour to his act.

Since starting stand-up Mark has presented his comedy stylings in a host of avenues. These include Triple M & B105’s breakfast shows, co-hosting the morning show for Planet Radio & a host of cross overs when abroad for other Brisbane based radio networks. Mark is no stranger to the small screen either with his debut in 2001 on the Tamara Tonite Show. He has also appeared in inter-state commercials. Whether he is the M.C or plying his comedy wares as an act, Mark is definitely worth watching & will leave you wanting more.
